The world’s different tribes each have their own unique ethnic wear. What would Hong Kong’s ethnic wear look like if it were a tribe? The designer goes down this imaginary path and finds that ethnic wear usually has a rich colour palette, simple silhouettes and common elements like two-dimensional cutting and T-sleeves which she applies in shirts, coats, sweaters and jeans. The collection retains the brand’s high fashion leaning but has more relaxed cuts, adding vintage lace and sequins for a touch of glamour.
