“I AM A GANGSTER” is a collection inspired by the golden era of the 1960s and 1970s in Hong Kong. With a growing economy and more opportunities in society, there was an underground triad circle that was quite active during that time. The collection explores the cycle of drug smuggling, with the characters boss, dealer, smuggler and consumer. Each of them has their iconic style and accessories such as a gun bag, balaclava, exaggerated jackets, and so on. The colour tone of the collection was inspired by the neon light sign boards from the streets in Hong Kong in the old days. It also includes a slight touch of brown tone to mimic the nostalgic film filter effect.
MOODLABBYLORRAINE has focused on socks and knit categories for two years. In the coming year, it is planning to launch more woven clothing such as Cuban shirts, shorts and accessories like bags. It hopes to expand their product category to meet the demands of different audiences.
The designer is looking forward to exploring and collaborating with 3D artists. A 3D form of presenting designs, will elevate the brand image. She will also add a new premium label in the coming months.
